Many of these are on the bed of old railway lines and link into National Cycle Route 7 that runs from Glasgow to Inverness. The area is surrounded by mountains and there are over 60 Munros within a one hour drive from the cottage. A one hour drive also takes you to Pitlochry and the A9 (to the east), Stirling (to the south). Loch Lomond (to the south-west), Oban (to the west) and Glencoe (to the north-west). The central location opens up many areas of the Central and Southern Highlands that are little visited.
